Primary Bedroom Makeover | Shiplap Accent Wall

We have officially moved into our “new” bedroom. Styled with neutrals, a DIY shiplap accent wall, plaid curtains and so much more! It’s a couple feet smaller than our previous one, which doesn’t sound like a lot, but I can totally feel the difference. There are options to turn our new bedroom into more of a master suite someday. I am holding out hope for that.

Our reason for taking this bedroom has to do with the layout of our main floor. This decision made the most sense with where the boys bedrooms are. Styling this space before me moved into it was a great idea so we didn’t have to live through the renovations. I knew I wanted an accent wall of floor to ceiling vertical shiplap. Creating a mood board before I start buying for a space is really important because I want to make sure everything is cohesive and goes well together before I start buying things. My mood board is below so you can see how I brought the project to life.

AFTER:

I still have to finish styling the other wall with the dresser and vase. I’d also like to get new nightstands (love these) at some point but this is where we are for now.
