Fall home decor and stems for the kitchen

I love shopping for fall decor and these beautiful plum leaves are exactly what I have been looking for. They look so gorgeous in this large pottery barn vase. I styled them here on the peninsula and it brings so much life to the kitchen space. I love seeing this big fall arrangement as soon as I walk into this room.

Here’s a better view of our kitchen space. I sold our other counter stools so we brought these ones up from a small table we have in the basement. These are temporary until we get new ones ordered. It’s kind of hard deciding on what exactly we want in a new stool. Hopefully I get that figured out sooner than later.

The table off the kitchen is also looking ready for fall with these dried stems. This black vase was a DIY project. It was originally a mustard yellow color. I spray painted it black and then skim coated the whole vase with dry wall plaster. One it dried a bit I took a damp cloth and removed the plaster until I got the look I was going for.

Other than the plum stems in the first photo I haven’t purchased any other fall decor yet. I would like to find more stems and am considering ordering these or these from pottery barn. The price point is kind of high on the ones so I might wait and see what I am still needing once I pull out the rest of my fall decor. In the meantime I am going to get to work on getting our house ready for fall so I can provide you some inspiration for your own home. 🙂
