My Pregnancy Safe Skincare Routine

I have been using everything above for a little while now and absolutely love it all. The face cleanser and coconut body oil I have been using for a year or so, some of my favorites, and the rest I added to my skincare routine once I found out I was pregnant. I was looking for some of the best products to promote glowing skin and to help with aging. I used 15 minute beauty’s blog to verify which products are safe for pregnancy and which ones I should cut out of my routine. I can’t believe how much information she has on her site, so incredibly helpful! I am going to lay out my routine in steps below, my goal is to do the facial care 2 times/day, once in the morning and again before bed.

FACE CARE ROUTINE

STEP 1: Wash; I use the fresh strawberry face wash. This cleanser smells soo so good. The exfoliating aspect of it is gentle enough to use daily for me. I’ve been using this cleanser for a year and don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. I also use these super soft bamboo washcloths I found on amazon.

STEP 2: Toner; My toner of choice here is the Sunday Riley Pink Drink which I started using during this pregnancy. I really like it too, this is one I would definitely continue using post pregnancy as well. The ease of applying it is a bonus and kind of fun. I just pump 2-3 sprays directly onto my face and pat it in.

STEP 3: Serum; my pick here is the Paula’s Choice Omega +. This serum has worked great and I am happy I went with this one for pregnancy but once it is safe to do so, potentially after nursing even, I would like to look into something that would provide more anti-aging benefits. What I am looking for would be items that are not safe to use during pregnancy so in the meantime this stuff has been perfect,

STEP 4: Moisturize; I’ve been using the fresh Youth Preserve face lotion for this step and really like it. I feel like it leaves my skin feeling super hydrated with a nice little glow. I would be very content continuing to use this product post pregnancy as well.

STEP 5: Lip care; I am using the Sara Happ lip treatments and LOVE them. I really wanted to try this brand and the kit, which includes the exfoliator and 2 of the glosses, has been perfect. Living in a cold and dry climate all winter can take a toll on your skin and after using these I can’t remember the last time I had chapped lips. I use the exfoliator as needed, about once a week, and I apply the gloss before bed and 1-2 times throughout the day.

BODY CARE ROUTINE

STEP 1: Exfoliate; I recently ordered the herbivore coco rose body polish and it’s exactly what I was looking for. I apply this to my legs and arms while in the shower and let it sit for a couple minutes before completely washing it off. This will leave your skin feeling so soft and smooth, I am excited to continue using it more!

STEP 2: Oil; I have two different body oils I have been using. I apply the Clarins tonic oil on my stomach, butt and thighs. I ordered this after hearing a lot of great reviews and I am so glad I did, it’s amazing and although pregnancy was my reason for ordering it, I will definitely continue to use is afterwards as it is just a really great product for your skin in general. I love the smell, reminds me of a spa and that’s not a bad thing in my opinion! The other body oil I have been using for over a year now is the Herbivore coconut oil. This is a great everyday moisturizer and I just love the beach vibes the scent gives off, I plan to continue using this one for a long time to come.

STEP 3: Lotion; I usually don’t find myself needing additional lotion after applying the body oils but I did order the Erbaviva stretch mark cream before I had the Clarins tonic oil. I am sill glad I have this on hand and still use it quite often. I’ve been using the Clarins tonic oil about every other day and will use this lotion on the other days. This one has a nice smell to it as well and does a great job leaving my skin feeling very hydrated.

That’s a wrap on my current skincare routine. I hope you found this information helpful and as always, let me know if you have any questions!
