We celebrated our little 2 year old over the weekend with family and friends and it was the most perfect day. Many months ago I came up with the theme “ice cream truck” for his party and I had all these ideas in my head but in the end I didn’t quite pull off the elaborate designs I wanted to when it came to the party decor.. and that’s ok! What really mattered is that everyone had a great time and I think it’s safe to say that was accomplished. I thoroughly enjoyed watching all the kiddos running around playing together, it’s just too cute!! Oh and we still served up ice cream just like an ice cream truck. I ended up getting quarts in a variety of flavors from Cold Stone and it was perfect + easy. I also made pulled pork carnitas for burrito bowls which is always a great option when serving a crowd. Other than that my ideas to make on theme sugar cookies, ice cream cone cupcakes and/or macarons did not happen this time, I just didn’t have the energy to spend my evenings working on it, this 3rd trimester has left me feeling pretty fatigued (I don’t remember feeling this way when I was pregnant with Everett at this point). The ice cream bar was sooo easy and I am really glad I went this route.
The ice cream cone garland was my favorite find! I will link everything below. Thanks for stopping by and hope you had a great weekend!
