Our mudroom is is the drop zone for everything from mail and kids shoes to farm clothes and keys. I wanted to create a beautiful space because it is oftentimes the first impression guests have when the come to our home since our other entryway rarely gets used. While trying to keep the space aesthetic I also had to make it as functional as possible.

Here are the ways I organize everything in our entryway

• Console table with drawers. The drawers store the mail and loose papers that come in from the kids school, etc.
• Decorative bowl on the console table for keys, sunglasses, other misc items
• Baskets under the console table store winter hats and mittens in the winter months and items like sandals and sunscreen in the warmer months
• A separate basket in the corner for my husband’s farm clothes. When full the whole thing can be brought to the laundry room for washing. This is one of the best things I did in here! Keeps the dirty farm clothes off the floor.
