Bathroom Makeover Before and After

Hello and Happy Wednesday! Today I am sharing some photos from our half bathroom that is now complete. I am the worst at remembering to take before photos and the one I used is actually from an old listing of our house before the previous owners moved in. When we got here it was basically the same but with a layer of shiny peel and stick wallpaper that was supposed to look like faux marble. It was not good and probably part of the reason there aren’t any before photos because it was one of the first things I started ripping down.

We replaced most of the hardware including toilet paper holder, towel rack, faucet, drain plug and the vanity but kept the mirror and just painted it for now. My father in law worked on evening the walls, scraping the window and painting (we had so much help with this house from our families and we’re incredibly thankful for that!!).

I finally purchased some decor to finish things off, it’s simple and I am so happy with how it turned out! On another note, our entryway is so close to being finished so I am getting excited to finally share that space, and I did actually get some before photos this time. 🙂

Console Table Decorated for Spring

Please excuse the mess of cords and modems under the table, I’ve been meaning to find a solution to hide those but haven’t gotten to it yet. I am thinking I will use command strips to attach the modems to the wall behind the table and that should really help. I wanted to give you a peek into the hallway where I painted the built in cabinet black. I’ve used this color in a few other places of our house too, this one is Wrought Iron by Benjamin Moore. You can see in the reflection of the mirror that we have a whole wall painted black. I really like it but a part of me thinks maybe I should go back to white just to brighten it up in here. This space doesn’t get too much natural light due to the porch overhang blocking it so that is my main reason for wanting to change it. I also need to get prints ordered for most of those frames on the gallery wall, once I do I will share more of that space. It’s Wednesday night as I am writing this and I can’t believe it’s already Thursday tomorrow, I feel like I was just wishing you a happy Monday. Hope the week has been a good one!

Accent Table Look for Less

Over the weekend I decided I would finish one more space in our house because all I really needed was an accent table and a couple things to go on top of it. We have 2 front entryways on our house, which is completely unnecessary but that’s just the way it came. I plan on putting this table and decor at the second entry that isn’t ever used. I was about to order the table on the right when I came across the other one for a fraction of the price! I am still getting the simple look I was going for and more than happy to save over $80 in the process. Can’t wait to share the end result with you once everything has been delivered.
